So, you’ve landed in Ubud, unpacked, hit your first yoga class, and now it’s time to dive into that glorious freedom business of yours. The big question: Where are the best cafes to work from in Ubud?
Don’t sweat it—I’ve got your back!
Trust me, I’m that girl who loves working from bed in my PJs just as much as I enjoy setting up shop in a trendy cafe with solid Wi-Fi.
Adding variety into may day helps me manage my time wise while on the road—some days I’m all about vibrant spaces where I can meet fellow nomads, and other times I’m in need of a space honors my overly active need for solitude.
When it comes to the best cafes in Ubud for working, this town is a straight-up frontrunner in Southeast Asia. You’ve got Alchemy Café for work and networking, Good Day Ubud Resort with a pool below the co-working space when you need to be alone but want a treat, and Elephant Café for laid-back vibes, work sessions, and killer views.
Here are five of my all-time favorite cafes to work from in Ubud. Bookmark this post, so you won’t waste precious time scrolling through Google Maps when you could already be sipping coffee and growing your business.

Best Cafe to Work from in Ubud with a Stunning View
The Elephant Cafe
Google Maps Link
Address for Grab: The Elephant – Jl. Raya Sanggingan, Sayan, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571, Indonesia
Elephant Cafe must be the most scenic way to work on your business: Overlooking Campuhan Ridge Walk, you get comfortable chairs, great service, delicious and healthy food, and a beautiful atmosphere at this cafe.
This was one of the first cafes I ever came to and I fell head-over-heels in love with this view.
They have amazing fresh-pressed juices and smoothies, and a killer breakfast borrito. Their coffee is fantastic, too! I usually sat in one of the hanging chairs or on one of the stools overlooking this beautiful jungle.
The Elephant a little out of the way, which makes it quiet throughout the week. I enjoyed coming here and grabbing groceries across the street on the way home.
Tropical Ants
Google Maps Link
Address for Grab: Tropical Ants, Jl. Katik Lantang Jl. Campuhan III, Singakerta, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571, Indonesia
If you’re looking for a tranquil place, away from the chit-chat you’d get downtown, Tropical Ants is your unlikely but perfect destination to work from.
Tropical Ants (that name, though!!!), I came across entirely by chance as it was directly across the street from my first villa.
A little outside of Sayan, this cafe is surrounded by rice fields and right off of the road that takes you to Changgu. There are only expats around and the occasional tourist. Couches and chairs are smartly arranged to soak in the views over the fields while sipping cafe.
They have a fried banana coconut ice cream desert I still dream about. And their breakfast is pretty amazing, too.
Note that their Internet wasn’t the strongest when I used to go there. They might have updated it, but best to have your data at the ready as a personal hotspot.

Best Cafe to Work from in Ubud with a Pool
Good Day Resto and Pool Bar
Google Maps Link
Address for Grab: Good Day Restor, Jl. Raya Sayan Gang Puskesmas 2. Subak Sayan, Kutuh, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571, Indonesia
Wait—what?! Great food, strong drinks, fast Wi-Fi, a dedicated co-working space, and a pool?
Yep, that was my exact reaction when I stumbled across this gem while villa-hunting. Naturally, my next question was: How much for entry? “Oh, Miss, no fee. Just buy a coffee or something. The pool is free.”
Say less. I was in love. If I had to crown a winner for the best cafes to work from in Ubud, this place takes the cake.
Set right in the middle of rice fields and surrounded by long-term villa rentals and resorts, getting here feels like a mini-adventure. Cars won’t come here, and even motorcycles have to go up a narrow strip that’s barely road-like. But trust me—it’s worth the trek.
Once you arrive, you’re in heaven: pancakes, American breakfast, Teriyaki chicken bowls, and if you’re feeling like a post-work treat? The drinks are strong, too! The staff here must be mind readers because they have a knack for making you feel like royalty.
This is the stuff digital nomad dreams are made of; or at least it’s what had been on my vision board for year prior to taking the plunge into traveling full time. Corny pun entirely intended:
Coworking space in Ubud with poolside vibes? Check. Tell me I’m not the only one who fantasized about working from paradise like this!
And here’s the kicker: for some reason, not many digital nomads in Ubud seem to know about this place. It was almost always empty. (Not me thinking about gatekeeping this spot so it stays that way…you’re welcome for including it)
I wrote more newsletters and sales copy here than I can count, all while soaking up some serious inspiration. It was the perfect place to work hard and get in some lovely self-care at the end of the day.
I almost forgot: they have a spa, too. And they have a drinks+massage package. Yes, it’s actually heaven.
Best Cafe to Work from in Ubud to Socialize
Alchemy Cafe
Google Maps Link
Address for Grab: Alchemy Bali, Jl. Penestanan Kelod No.75, Sayan, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571, Indonesia
If you’re looking to pair mingling and working, Alchemy Bali is where it’s at. This place is one of the busiest vegan restaurants in Ubud, and it’s the perfect spot to meet fellow nomads. It’s hip, vegan, the Wi-Fi is fast, and it’s practically begging you to stick around after work for another salad or to make a new friend.
The restaurant is a vibe—coworking is totally encouraged, and the Wi-Fi is some of the fastest in town. But here’s the deal: it’s open-air with only ceiling fans, and it gets packed with people from the adjacent co-living space, Outpost, or yoga lovers (like me) killing time before their class at Alchemy Yoga Center across the street.
My advice? Dress light and prepare to sweat.
That said, the food more than makes up for the heat (even if the prices are a bit steep). I’m LOVED their green juice and the vegan beets and halloumi salad, and don’t even get me started on the vegan chocolate protein balls. Seriously: So. Worth. It.
All of their ingredients are locally and sustainably sourced, the staff is top-notch, and they host a ton of community events—some free, some paid. So if you’re craving a little social time with your work session, this is your spot.
Oh, and did I mention? I usually pair a morning work session at Alchemy Café with a couple of classes at my favorite yoga studio in the world: Alchemy Yoga Center. It’s literally right across the street. Could it get any better?
Best Vegan Cafe to Work from in Ubud
Zest Cafe (Vegan Coworking Cafe in Ubud)
Google Maps Link
Address for Grab: Zest Cafe, Jl. Penestanan No.7, Sayan, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571, Indonesia
If you happen to be ooking for that perfect blend of coworking vibes by day and hip dinner spot by night, Zest is the answer.
This place oozes high-end, ultra-trendy vibes, with a bamboo jungle aesthetic that screams Ubud. Perched on a hill in Penestanan, Zest Restaurant is where you go for that next-level atmosphere.
Honestly, the menu is so good it feels almost criminal to come here just for a coffee-and-work session. It’s all plant-based with a unique fusion of Western and Balinese flavors that will make you question whether you’re here to work or to feast.
Oh, and the sunsets? Chef’s kiss.
Combine that with some stellar tunes, and you’ve got yourself a perfect end to a productive day. You can choose between the regular table and chair setup in the front, or head-on back to lounge on one of the oversized couches. .

There are probably 50 more cafes in Ubud I could rave about, but these are the ones that stole my heart and kept me coming back.
I was probably the most productive at Alchemy and Elephant Cafe, the most inspired at Good Day Resto, and living my ultimate vision-board life at Good Day Resto, Tropical Ants, and Zest.
