But traveling full-time AND growing a business full-time took a hard toll on my health and my income. 🤯🤯Meanwhile, I noticed recently that most of my most successful clients are at least semi-settled: travel is part of their lifestyle and so we built a business that supports that. But they also had a say in the desk chair and mattress they work and sleep on. If you truly are serious about your business, make complete location-independence the goal, not the strategy. ‼️ here’s what I mean: let’s build a business - set with offers that self-sell, organic sales strategies, and an audience that truly wants to hear from you - that grants you complete freedom to travel regularly, even full-time. Let’s just make sure that when you’re in growth phases, you’re put, healthily fed, properly sleeping, and know where the next supermarket is. Important growth phases in business: 💸The first year (or your first $50k) 💸Your first 1:Many offer launch 💸The first 6 months of diversifying your offer suite 💸Scaling from $100k to multiple six figures. As an industry, we’re finally moving into true ent As an industry, we’re finally moving into true entrepreneurship. The ‘one course only’ folks are slowly quieting down (likely returning to better business models or a job). But the thought (hope?) of ‘simply putting together one course’ lingers and it’s hurting you. First of, hi, I”m Dina and I mentor new and established coaches to build a business that’s purpose-aligned and sells five figures a month, even without an audience. Throw together a course with your entire knowledge, and you’ll end up with a hefty price tag on client acquisition because if you don’t bring new people in the course…you’ll end up flatlining your revenue. However, if you create multiple offers that all sell into one another, now your one course can sell into the next, your customer lifetime value skyrockets, and your cost of client acquisition goes down (and so does your heart rate). Long term business success doesn’t come from sales schemes and exact frameworks. It comes from customer loyalty. So here’s how my clients build it: They start their business with ONE high ticket offer that they can deliver 1:1. Brings in cash quickly, and gives you as the new coach crucial insights into your customer journey. Next, my clients create an ‘audience builder’ offer. This one is paid, and requires less (or even none) of your time for delivery. It’s designed to solve ONE super specific problem of your ideal client, and meant to build trust with a new customer. From there, my clients set out to build a few (but more than one) targeted offers. These offers become the backbone for their business’s success and their lifestyle location and time freedom. Don’t go looking for 10k followers, this is what y Don’t go looking for 10k followers, this is what you need (if you’re a coach looking to sell coaching): First of, 👋hi, I’m Dina and I mentor new and established coaches to grow their business to five figure months, even without an audience, so that their heart can sing and their bodies can work from anywhere in the world. If that’s your gem, follow me @DinaSeeksFreedom. 🫡Content creators sell their audience to brands, colleagues even. Their own products tend to be ‘content creator’ courses. (Not hate, just stating facts) Coaches, on the other hand, sell their coaching services to individuals who really don’t care about your engagement ratio. As coaches, our product, when it comes down to it, is trust more than anything else. A buyer of coaching needs to establish three types of trust before they buy: Inspirational and entertaining content (as taught by most content creators) will therefore NOT build an audience that will buy from you. This will: 🙌Trust in THEMSELVES: Create content that tells stories: of yourself, of your clients, of your colleagues. Understand your ideal clients’ deepest fears and most heart-felt desires. Then NAME them in your content. This content won’t lead to many shares, but to DMs…and DMs lead to sales. 🙌Trust in YOU Potential clients don’t need certificates, but to know that you can help them. Pick 3 to 5 core stories and tell them over and over again to communicate your authority in your field. This content won’t lead to comments, but saves and likes…and this indicates trust. 🙌Trust in your PROCESS: Create content that tells me why all the things I’ve tried before didn’t work, and how your approach is different. Showcase examples from clients and self of how your process has led to results. This content will lead to comments…but only to clients if you’re willing to engage in comments and DMs. I teach all this and more to new coaches inside Freedom Business Incubator. I quit my job in 2019, backpacked, moved to German I quit my job in 2019, backpacked, moved to Germany, launched my online business, and started to travel nomadically in 2022. I thought I’d do the ‘move every few months’ for years to come. I felt so cool. So grown-up and rebellious at the same time. I was ‘doing the thing’, living out of my suitcase, ‘going with the flow’. And don’t get me wrong, I met the love of my life while nomading, and learnt so much about myself while traveling. But digital nomadism has a dark side, I’ve found: Loneliness amidst a huge community of ‘new friends’ Nervous system dysegulation amidst constant coco ceremonies and Friday morning Yin Yoga sessions Bad skin due to the ‘thrill of living everywhere’ An upset stomach and digestion from ‘all the flavorful foods’ And most of all, it’s a distraction to what life, I’ve found, truly can be: As nomads, we celebrate the global community we’re part of, yet deeper friendships can hardly blossom. As nomads, we can be a new version of ourselves with every country we move to, change our names even, but a true inner knowing can easily be bypassed as well. Too often do I find nomads who are simply lost and (understandably) afraid to slow down enough to reconnect to their inner child. As for me, I found the peace I was looking for on my travels, when I bought my own mattress and desk, signed a year long lease, and hired a therapist…aka, wehn I quit nomading. I don’t think nomading should be the goal. Living everywhere and nowhere…our nervous systems aren’t made that. What should be the goal is to have the CHOICE to move, to uproot, or to simply work from a different country for a while. That’s why I continue to build my business such that it provides me with more and more location and time freedom - That means less and less 1:1 clients, more and more scalable offers that serve regardless of my time, and sales strategies that amplify who I naturally am. Your niche is a result of experimentation, throwin Your niche is a result of experimentation, throwing spaghetti at the wall, failing, and getting feedback. I truly don’t understand coaches that tell their clients to pick a niche within a minute of signing on to work with them. I want you to land on a niche and positioning that truly feels aligned and will help you take your business FAR. I’m looking for longterm growth, not quick, unsustainable wins. So here’s what I have my clients do instead (that’s, my clients who are coaches and online service providers) 💕Offer discovery coaching sessions to their exisitng community. What they’re looking for: common themes that resonate, common methods and tools they use, ref flags and green flags in clients. 💕Create content about what’s on their mind. What they’re looking for: what they find themsleves talk about over and over again, what’s resonating with their audience, what feels easy or uncomfortable to post. 💕Try on different positioning statements in different spaces like online communities, the gym, etc. What they’re looking for: resonance, and the depth of conversation that ensues. My Incubator (my one year business mentorship for new coaches) learn to combine this with a simple, non-coercive sales call framework and actually sign clients entirely without a clear niche (or large audience). The payoff is huge: 🫣Money in the bank 🫣Insights into their client journey from real convos 🫣First content already made, ready to hone in. Aaaannndd....clear positioning and niche found. And so, isn’t it time to unabashadly claim who you are, flaws, querks, hobbies, passions, and all? I mean, what’s a FREEDOM-business without the complete freedom to be whoever the F**K you want to be?! Clients come to me, asking how they can be more productive. I respond with: “how can you be more YOU?” Clients come asking how they can create better content. I respond with: “how can you be more YOU?” Clients come to me with 10 different offers to review. I respond with: “which one defines YOU most. Which one supports YOUR dream life most?” I don’t want to live in a world of shoulds. Not even in a world of coulds. I want to live in a world of wants, dones, trieds, and fails. Because what’s life without the juiciness of true experimentation, true expression of self?
